I am convinced that each human being deserves a content and healthy life so that they can be in balance with themselves and their environment as well as discover their self-efficacy.

I have trained to become an alternative practitioner – psychotherapy next to my degree in Psychology in order to help you towards this goal.

My name is Sofia Weavind, born in Munich in 1985, Heilpraktikerin (Psychotherapie), Traumatherapist and EMDR-Therapist. I am married with children and have been interested in the human psyche since childhood.

I used to work in the free economy after achieving my Bachelor of Science in Computing. I worked in various roles, among them project management and client relations, and lived in various countries during those years.

The strong desire to work with people psychologically and psychotherapeutically arose during my baby break. I started studying for my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2019 and decided to prepare intensively for my examination for the Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie in 2021.

In 2018 I started moderating a self-help chat for autistics.

Currently, I am in the final stages of my training to become a Traumatherapist.

Many times, I’ve been told that I have a gift for motivating, supporting, and strengthening others.
I put this down to my distinctive empathy, which allows me to gain an insight into the emotional world of the person facing me as well as grasp and suitably respond to their feelings quickly and naturally.

I was able to realise how fulfilling it is, to support and guide people in difficult situations due to my involvement with people during my volunteering work. On one hand, I am grateful that I can watch the developments people make, and on the other, I find the thought very rewarding, that I was allowed to support them in this process and will continue to be allowed to.

This is when it became clear to me, that I wanted to make psychotherapy my calling, and worked consistently towards that goal.

In addition, I enjoy psycho-educating people and explaining mental disorders to them. I display a lot of patience and understanding and always show myself to be friendly, outgoing, and people-oriented; a quality that people appreciate in me.

I look forward to meeting you.

Yours Sofia Weavind
